BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International Lady Warriors tennis team returned to the friendly confines of the WIU Campus Courts and found the winning touch after losing two consecutive matches against nationally ranked NAIA teams. WIU defeated NAIA foe, Aquinas University (MI), 7-2 on Sunday afternoon, Webber improves to 6-3 on the season.
 
The Lady Warriors took a 2-1 lead after doubles play. The #1 team of Laura Nowak and Julija Stojkovska won 8-0. Holly Parnell and Jeanette Hicks won at #3, 8-1.
 
Singles winners for Webber were: #2 Nowak, 6-0, 6-1; #3 Stojkovska, 6-2, 7-6; #4 Leticia Tomb, 6-1, 6-1; #5 Hicks, 6-1, 6-1; #6 Parnell 6-3, 6-4.
 
The Lady Warriors return to action on Tuesday, at 3:00 p.m., on the WIU Campus Courts. They will be entertaining Ohio Northern University.
