BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University women's tennis team defeated Ave Maria University 8-1, on Wednesday, February 08, at the WIU Campus Courts in Babson Park. The Webber Team improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in The Sun Conference.
 
The Lady Warriors were up 3-0 after the completion of doubles. Winning teams were: #1 – Nathalia Chaddad and Helen Perry, 9-7; #2 – Laura Nowak and Julija Stojkovska, 8-1; #3 – Leticia Tomb and Jeanette Hicks, 8-4.
 
Singles winners for Webber were: #2 Nowak, 6-1, 6-0; #3 Stojkovska, 6-1, 6-0; #4 Tomb, 6-0, 6-4; #5 Perry, 6-0, 6-1; #6 Hicks, 6-0, 6-2.

Webbers next match is next Wednesday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Webber. The Lady Warriors will be entertaining the Lady Royals form Warner University.
