BABSON PARK, Fla. - Elina joins Webber after spending four years playing at Embry Riddle as a nationally recognized player.

“I am very excited to have Elina join our program. I think she will help bring us to that next level we are trying to reach. She has dominated our conference for the past four years playing and I our girls are definitely excited to have her teach them,” stated Hagy.

The Sweden native 4-year resume at Embry-Riddle includes a number of awards such as the Florida Sun Conference Newcomer of the Year, 4 time NAIA All-American, NSCAA/Adidas NAIA All-American, The Sun Conference Player of the Year, and was announced NAIA National Player of the Week twice.
She led the NAIA in total assists and assists per game and is the Eagles all-time leader in 14 offensive categories. Johansson graduated as Embry-Riddle's all-time leader in goals (64), assists (42) and points (170) amongst 11 other career, season and single game records.

Prior to coming to the United States, Elina graduated high school in Sweden.  She played a year for QBIK in the Swedish Premier league and a year for Gideonsbergs IF in Division 1. She also played on the u-19 Swedish National Team before continuing her education by getting her bachelor's degree in Aviation Business from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
Prior to graduating she spent the summer playing professional soccer for the Bay Area Breeze in California. They won the North Pacific Champion title, but lost in the playoffs against San Diego to continue on to the final 4.

“I am excited for this great opportunity and I can't wait to get started. I am grateful to Coach Hagy for giving me this opportunity. From what I can tell in the brief amount of time I have spent with the team, we have a good group that is willing to learn and work to improve,” stated Elina.

“I look forward to working with Elina and can't wait to see what different aspects she brings to our team!” added Hagy.
