Lady Warriors Ousted in Second Half – 73-48

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors hosted the Emmanuel College Lady Lions tonight, December 28, 2011. The Lady Warriors fought hard in the first half of play but came up short in the second half and lost with a final score of 73-48.
The Lady Lions came out in the first half of the game strong scoring six unanswered points until Samantha Harvey scored for the first points for the Lady Warriors with 16:19 left to play in the first half. The Lady Warriors went into the half trailing by six points 30-24. Leading the Lady Warriors in the first half was Sarah Dileonardo with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Leading the Lady Lions in the first half was Aubany Thomas with 8 points and 2 assists.

In the second half of the game the Lady Lions expanded their lead over the Lady Warriors and won the game 73-48. Throughout the game there were two lead changes in the first half and the Lady Lions controlled the second half of play. The Lady Lions shot 34.8% field goals, 25% from down town, and 72.4% from the line where as the Lady Warriors shot 29.4% field goals, 22.2% from down town, and 53.8% from the line.

Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were Sarah Dileonardo and Erin Henry. Sarah Dileonardo scored 20 points, 8 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Erin Henry scored 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block.

Leading the Lady Lions was Caneisha Bell with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

The Lady Warriors record falls to 1-11 while the Lady Lions improve their record to 5-8.

The Lady Warriors return to the court on December 29th as they host Judson University tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m.
