Babson Park, Fla. – From the start it was clear that the Lady Warriors' basketball team stepped onto the court with the desire to end their conference losing streak.
Nikki King was the key player for the Lady Warriors in defeating Johnson & Wales University on Friday night, 55-47.

Nikki King who put up an impressive fight against the Wildcats scoring the Warriors' first 10 points and posting a double-double with 8 minutes left in the first half. Ultimately, the first half was another back and forth fight with both teams scoring points that would put them in the lead. It wasn't until the last 20 seconds of the first half when #11
Angelica Pennington made a 2 point shot putting the Warriors on top, 22-20.
In the second half the Warriors never lost control of the game only allowing the Wildcats to tie the lead twice. In the end the Warriors won the game against the Wildcats by 8 points, 55-47.
Nikki King led the Warriors throughout the game with a double-double scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals, and 3 assists. Also leading the Warriors was #21

Chelsea Shipman both scoring 8 points and 5 rebounds each. The Warriors record improves to 3-11 overall and 2-4 in The Sun Conference. Johnson & Wales University's record now moves to 3-10 and 1-5 in The Sun Conference.
