Babson Park, Fla. – The Webber International University women's tennis team defeated Warner University, 9-0, on Thursday on the WIU Campus Courts in Babson Park.
This non-conference match was the season finale for the Lady Warriors. WIU posted a final overall record of 10-10 for the 2010 season. This is their first non-losing season since 2003. Webber did not qualify for The Sun Conference tournament, as they finished in 5th place, and only the top four go to the tournament.
The winners in doubles and their scores for WIU were: #1 Lauren Brink and Kammie Bilardello, 8-0; #2 Anna Culaba and Zulema Robles, 8-2; #3 Helen Perry and Sophie Zillmann, 8-4.
Singles winners for Webber: #1 Lauren Brink, 6-0, 6-0; #2 Kammie Bilardello, 6-3, 6-1; #3 Anna Culaba, 6-3, 6-1; #4 Helen Perry, 6-0, 6-0; #5 Zulema Robles, 6-0, 6-0; #6 Sophie Zillmann, 8-6.

Bill Heath. “I am a little disappointed that we did not qualify for the conference tournament and that we did not have winning season, but we accomplished a lot this year and we really turned it around from the 2-15 season we had last year,” added Heath.
