Webber Women’s Tennis Snaps Two Match Skid

Babson Park, Fla. – The Webber International University women's tennis team snapped their two match losing streak by beating Campbellsville University (KY) 7-2.
 
The match was played at the Auburndale City Tennis Courts on Thursday evening. The Lady Warriors improve to 8-7 on the season.
 
WIU took a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition was completed. Winning 8-1at #2 doubles were Anna Culaba and Zulema Robles. The #3 team of Helen Perry and Jeanette Hicks won 8-5.
 
Singles winners for the Lady Warriors were: #1 Lauren Brink 6-4, 7-5; #2 Kammie Bilardello 6-1, 7-5; Anna Culaba at #3 6-0, 4-0; Ret.; #4 Helen Perry 6-1, 6-2; #6 Zulema Robles 6-1, 6-0.
 
“This was a total team effort as our girls, as a team, played one of their best matches of the season,” stated Coach Bill Heath.
