Babson Park, Fla. – Lady Warriors lost 42-80 in their first game in the Warrior Turkey Shoot tournament to Eastern Oregon on November 27, 2010, and lost the second game to Daemen College 59-75 on November 28, 2010.
Webber International University women's basketball overall record is 1-3 and The Sun Conference record is 0-0.
The tournament consisted of four team; Eastern Oregon University, Daemen College, Warner University, and our Webber International University. Eastern Oregon defeated Warner University 85-50 on November 26, 2010, and they have also defeated Webber International University 80-42 on November 27, 2010 to go 7-1 in their overall conference record. Warner University lost to Daemen College (NY) 53-68 on November 27, 2010 to go 0-4 in their overall record. Daemen College defeated Lady Warriors 75-59 to advance to 7-1 in their overall record on November 28, 2010.
Eastern Oregon University and Daemen College (NY) went undefeated in the tournament. The Polk County universities, Warner University and Webber International University, went defeated in the Warrior Turkey Shoot.
The leaders for Warner vs. Eastern Oregon were Ivana Soberal with 9 points, a rebound, and an assist and Vintea Georges with 19 points, and 6 rebounds.
The leaders for the Warner vs. Daemen were Candice Smith with a double-double of 18 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals and Sarah Soroka also with a double-double of 20 points, 13 rebounds, and a block.
The leaders for Eastern Oregon vs. Webber International were Samantha Flett with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals and
Nikki King with a double-double of 12 rebounds, 11 points, 2 assists, and 2 blocks,
The leaders for Daemen College vs. Webber International University were Sarah Soroka with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and one block and
Nikki King with a double-double of 28 points, 18 rebounds, 2 assists, a block, and 4 steals.
Lady Warriors will host Warrior Christmas Classic tournament this December 16-19, 2010. The first game will be verses Xavier University (LA) on December 16, 2010 at 7 p.m., the second game will be against William Woods University (MO) on December 17, 2010 at 6 p.m., the third game will be verses Sterling College (KS) on December 18, 2010 at 7 p.m., and they will close the tournament against Jamestown College (ND) on December 19, 2010 at 2 p.m.
