BABSON PARK, Fla.-The Webber International University women's basketball team went into a head-to-head battle tonight (Dec. 18) with the Eagles of Judson University at the Sabbagh Athletic Center.   With both teams fighting to be on top, it was the Lady Warriors taking the win, 71-65.

The Lady Warriors were in control for the entire first half, but the Eagles made a comeback within the last five minutes of the game.  Judson's Crystal Goodell drilled a three-pointer, to make it a one point game before the intermission, 35-34

During the second half of the game, it was fair game, as both teams fought hard to give their team a victory, but with the teamwork that the Lady Warriors had, they were able to top the Eagles, outscoring them 36-31 in the second half, making the final score 71-65.

Nikki King led the way for the Lady Warriors, going for her another double-double, scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds.  Senior Ashley Butler also had an outstanding night, collecting 18 points with nine rebounds.

The Lady Warriors now improve to a 4-4 record.  Tomorrow, they get set to host Davenport University, who is currently ranked #1 in the NAIA.  Tip-off is set for 3:00 pm.
