BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University men's beach volleyball team has been recognized for its commitment to excellence in the classroom, earning the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The Warriors were among more than 1,400 high school and collegiate volleyball teams recognized by the AVCA during the 2025-26 academic year. The award honors programs that have matched their success in competition with academic excellence.

To earn the distinction, teams must maintain a cumulative 3.30 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale for the entire academic year.

The 2026 award marks the 34th anniversary of the AVCA Team Academic Award, which recognizes volleyball programs across the country for their dedication and commitment to academic achievement.

The recognition is a testament to the hard work of Webber's student-athletes and the leadership of the men's beach volleyball coaching staff as the Warriors continue to strive for success both on the court and in the classroom.

Webber will turn its attention to the upcoming 2026 fall season, beginning with a Technical & Tactical Evaluation on Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Webber Campus Beach Volleyball Courts in Babson Park.

The Warriors will then travel to Dania, Florida, for the USA Beach Collegiate Challenge from Sept. 26-27 before returning home to host a tournament on Oct. 3-4.

Webber will continue its fall schedule with trips to Barry University on Oct. 23-24 and Erskine College on Oct. 30-31. The Warriors are scheduled to conclude the fall campaign at the AVCA National Championship, held Nov. 5-8 in Huntsville, Alabama.
