#12 Warriors Are SUN #1 Seed After First Regular Season Conference Title in Program History

Fort Myers, FL – After winning the 2026 SUN Conference Regular Season Title, the 12th ranked Webber International Baseball team will be the #1 Seed at the SUN Conference Tournament at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers this week. The SUN Conference Regular Season Title is the first one in Webber Baseball history and should help the Warriors in their quest to the AVISTA NAIA World Series and the programs first NAIA National Championship. The Warriors first matchup will be with the #6 seed Ave Maria Gyrenes.

The Warriors used a 17-game winning streak during conference season with sweeps over the New College of Florida Mighty Banyans, Ave Maria, the Florida Memorial Lions, and the St. Thomas Bobcats. Outside of those sweeps, the Warriors only dropped one conference series all year, a 1-3 defeat to the Keiser Seahawks, while splitting a series 2-2 with the Southeastern Fire, and ending the year with a 3-1 series victory over Crooked Lake Rivals Warner.

The Warriors were led by starting Pitcher Mason Veronezi, who went 8-1 on the year with a 3.69 earned run average and 57 strikeouts. Out of the bullpen, Gregory Bori went 4-1 with a 2.69 era and 46 strikeouts across 20 appearances on the year. Other pitchers of note include Austin Dobbins, Tyler Helton, Zach Hessler, Caleb Fones, and Ryan Franklin.

Offensively, Keegan started every game for the Warriors at second base, where he had a .393 batting average, had 72 hits and 45 RBIs, while he also led the entire NAIA in walks with 52. In 48 games played, Jalen Martinez had a .399 batting average with 67 hits and 37 RBIs. Tugg Hollandsworth and Ty Mathews also contributed all year long to the tune of .376 and .375 batting average's respectively. Other Warriors of note include Will Gisriel, Austen Jaslove, David Zamora, and Steven Nitch, all batting over .300.

The Warriors are led by Head Coach Collin Martin, Assistants Matt Saliba, Aaron Kehres, and Collin Norton, and Graduate Assistants Jake Curry and Easton Cone.
