Miami Gardens, FL – The Webber International Softball team put together one of its most complete offensive performances of the season on Tuesday afternoon, rolling past Florida Memorial, 13-2, in five innings in Miami Gardens. The Warriors scored in every inning, piling up 15 hits while taking advantage of eight Florida Memorial errors to secure the conference win.

Webber struck immediately in the first and never looked back. The Warriors plated three runs in the opening frame, added two more in the second, then broke the game open with a five-run third. Webber kept the pressure on with two runs in the fourth and one more in the fifth to complete the 13-run outburst.

Thalia Romero led the way offensively, finishing 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Aliyah Bentley also turned in a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI, while Emma Newgent added two hits and two RBIs. Samantha Hudson doubled, drove in a run, and scored twice, and Sami Franz chipped in an RBI. Off the bench, Anjolice Lopez delivered an RBI single, while Webber also got hits from Sommer Zier-Norris, Abigayle Ellison, Alissa Aguirre, and Miranda Gill.

In the circle, Taylor Thomas went the distance and earned the win after striking out 10 over five innings. Thomas allowed just two hits and three walks, with both runs coming in the first inning before she settled in and dominated the rest of the way. Webber backed her with a clean defensive effort, finishing the game without an error.
