Warriors Add Another Shutout Against Eagles

Waleska, GA – The 7th ranked Webber International Flag Football team put together a dominant all-around performance on Thursday afternoon, shutting out Reinhardt (Ga.) 41-0 in a SUN Conference tilt on the road. The Warriors controlled the game from the opening quarter and never let up, scoring in three of the four periods while the defense kept the Eagles off the scoreboard.

Webber struck first in the opening quarter when Luzariana Herrera found the end zone on a touchdown to give the Warriors a 6-0 lead. The offense found another gear in the second quarter, exploding for 28 points to take complete command of the contest. Rylee Bolser hauled in two touchdown receptions in the frame, Herrera added another scoring play, and Cheyenne Durand turned in a defensive highlight with a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown as Webber built a 34-0 halftime lead.

The Warriors added one more score in the third quarter when Herrera connected again to push the margin to 41-0, while the defense continued to frustrate Reinhardt the rest of the way. Webber held Reinhardt to just 90 total yards, including negative rushing yardage, and forced two interceptions while piling up four sacks.

Herrera led the offense through the air, completing 21 of 32 passes for 249 yards and five touchdowns, while also adding two scoring conversions. Brylee Kamm also saw time at quarterback and completed 8 of 13 passes for 83 yards. Bolser was the top target, finishing with seven catches for 111 yards and four touchdowns, while Yasmin Lott added six receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Kahliya Gaitor was a force with four sacks and four total tackles, helping lead a unit that consistently disrupted Reinhardt's offense. Durand added an interception return touchdown and also picked off a pass, while Ijyana Edwards recorded an interception as well. Bolser chipped in five tackles, and Webber finished with 319 total yards of offense in the shutout win.
