Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Basketball team delivered a wire-to-wire performance Saturday afternoon, rolling past New College of Florida 73-35 in Sun Conference action at the Sabbagh Center
Webber set the tone immediately, holding the Mighty Banyans to just six points in the opening quarter while building a 17-6 lead. The Warriors' pressure and pace took over in the second, as Webber outscored NCF 26-10 to take a commanding 43-16 advantage into halftime.
The Warriors kept the clamps on after the break, winning the third quarter 14-7 and never allowing New College to find a rhythm offensively. Webber closed it out with a steady fourth quarter to secure the 38-point win.
Isabel Negron powered the Warriors with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals, while Jaiden Ross added 12 points. Adaya Montalvo chipped in nine, as Webber's balanced attack produced 23 assists and forced 27 turnovers on the day. The Warriors also finished with 18 steals and shot 46.9% from the field.
New College was led by Gwen Tsoukalas with 11 points, but the Mighty Banyans were limited to 28.3% shooting and 2-for-24 from three-point range.
