Miami Gardens, FL – The Webber International Women's Basketball team fell 60-30 at Florida Memorial on Wednesday evening in a Sun Conference matchup at the FMU Wellness Center.

The Warriors hung around early, trailing just 10-7 after one quarter, but Florida Memorial broke the game open in the second period with a 19-3 surge to take a 29-10 lead into halftime. FMU maintained control coming out of the break by outscoring Webber 16-5 in the third, pushing the margin to 45-15, and the teams played even (15-15) over the final 10 minutes to set the final.

Webber battled on the glass (48 rebounds, including 20 offensive boards) and produced 12 steals and eight blocks, but struggled to find consistent offense, shooting 12-of-68 (17.6%) from the field and 2-of-22 (9.1%) from three. Florida Memorial capitalized at the foul line (15-of-22) and generated a 14-5 advantage in points off turnovers, with both teams committing 22 turnovers.

Renae Brant paced Webber with eight points (including two 3-pointers), while Jaiden Ross added seven points and a team-high seven rebounds. Camryn Patterson stuffed the stat sheet with four points, six rebounds, three assists, four steals, and four blocks. For Florida Memorial, Jasmine Worthy led all scorers with 23 points, Kalea Rainey chipped in 11, and Dominique Garcia Bla added nine points along with five assists and three steals.

With the result, Webber moved to 6-8 overall and 1-3 in Sun Conference play, while Florida Memorial improved to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in conference.
