Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Basketball team fell 65-42 to Keiser in a Sun Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon in Babson Park.
The Warriors came out sharp from the perimeter, taking a 16-12 lead after one quarter behind four first-quarter three-pointers—including triples from Camryn Patterson, Renae Brant (two), and Sophya Barreiro. Keiser answered in the second, holding Webber to six points in the period to edge in front 23-22 at the half.
Keiser created separation coming out of the break. Webber briefly kept it within striking distance when Danshelle Mickel drilled a three to make it 28-25 early in the third, but the Seahawks closed the quarter strong to take a 39-31 advantage. In the fourth, Webber cut it to 45-37 with 5:26 left after a Kori Wimberly layup, but Keiser responded with an 11-0 run to put the game out of reach.
Brant led Webber with 13 points, while Barreiro added nine and Jaiden Ross posted eight points along with seven rebounds, three steals, and three blocks. Patterson chipped in eight rebounds and four assists. As a team, Webber shot 17-of-59 (28.8%) from the floor and 5-of-24 (20.8%) from three, while Keiser finished at 41.5% shooting, went 14-of-19 at the line, and held a 43-27 rebounding edge. Keiser was paced by Caidyn Cannon (21 points, eight rebounds), Satori Griffin (16 points on four threes), Avrie Schmidt (14), and Jasmyn Hale (12 points, 13 rebounds).
