Miami Gardens, FL – The Webber International Women's Basketball team delivered a thrilling 74–72 overtime SUN Conference road win over St. Thomas on Wednesday evening at the Fernandez Family Center, sealing it on a buzzer-beating jumper by Adaya Montalvo as the clock hit 0:00 in the extra period.
The Warriors controlled the early flow, leading 14–12 after the first, 29–25 at halftime, and 45–40 through three. St. Thomas surged with a 22-point fourth quarter to force bonus time, taking a 62–59 lead at the line with 30 seconds left. Webber answered immediately—Camryn Patterson buried a game-tying three with 0:25 remaining to make it 62–62 and send the contest to overtime.
In the extra session, Jaiden Ross took over, scoring 8 of Webber's 12 overtime points, including a go-ahead layup with 0:06 left to put the Warriors up 72–70. St. Thomas tied it on two free throws with 0:04 remaining, but Webber used a timeout to draw up the final possession—and Montalvo delivered the winner at the horn to complete the comeback.
Ross led Webber with 20 points, while Patterson stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 7 steals, and 3 blocks. Montalvo added 11, and Danshelle Mickel chipped in 10. As a team, Webber shot 50.0% (31-of-62), forced 23 turnovers, and racked up 15 steals and 6 blocks. St. Thomas was paced by Sarei McGill's 23 points and 9 rebounds, with Katrina Litte and Joey Delancy adding 12 apiece.
