Brunswick, GA – The Webber International Women's Basketball team turned a tight first half into a runaway finish on Saturday, pulling away in the second half for an 81–64 SUN Conference win over Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Georgia.
Coastal Georgia came out sharp early, taking a 23–16 edge after the first quarter and building a lead as large as 10. Webber settled in during the second period, trimming the deficit with a 21-point quarter to head into halftime down just 39–37.
The momentum flipped decisively after the break. Webber's defense clamped down in the third, holding the Mariners to seven points while the Warriors surged ahead with a 22–7 quarter to open up a 59–46 lead. Webber consistently won the interior battle, finishing with a 38–12 advantage in points in the paint, while also generating 10 second-chance points.
In the fourth, Webber maintained control by getting to the line and converting, going 23-for-29 at the stripe and stretching the margin to as many as 17 late. Jaiden Ross led the way with 21 points (10-for-12 FT) and seven rebounds, while Adaya Montalvo added 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Camryn Patterson chipped in 16 points and filled the stat sheet with six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks as Webber totaled 14 steals on the afternoon.
For Coastal Georgia, Alli Stone scored 13 points, Abby Shepard hit four 3-pointers on the way to 12 points, and Taylor Blackshear posted 10 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
