Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Volleyball team battled through a tight opening frame before Southeastern pulled away late and completed a straight-sets win on Wednesday night at the Sabbagh Athletic Center. The Warriors traded 10 ties in Set 1 and erased three set points to get within 24–22, but a Marysa Connors kill sealed the opener. SEU then rode a massive serving/side-out run to take Set 2 and closed the match with a 25–18 third.
Set 1 (22–25): Kaylee Hunt caught fire early with three kills in a 5–2 spurt, and blocks by Anna Morton and Hailey Mull helped WIU edge ahead 15–13. SEU answered with back-to-back aces from Laura Bonomi to flip it to 20–16. Webber saved three set points (24–19 to 24–22) before the Fire closed.
Set 2 (8–25): SEU opened 6–1 and never looked back, hitting .303 in the frame while limiting WIU to four kills. Aces from Yarelis Lopez and Ashley Downs fueled the separation.
Set 3 (18–25): Hunt's ace highlighted a 4–0 burst to level things at 8–8, and Webber knotted it again at 11–11. Bonomi then strung together kills on multiple rotations as SEU created decisive breathing room down the stretch.

Laura Bonomi posted a match-high 17 kills with 15 digs and 3 aces, while Lopez added 10 kills/11 digs. Haven Speer (21 assists) and Ashley Downs (11 assists, 16 digs) split setting duties, and Lucrezia Ceroni paced the net with 3 total blocks.
