Del Valle's Second Straight Game Winner Leads Warriors over Royals

Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Soccer team turned in a composed, performance to claim a 1–0 win over crosstown rival Warner (FL) on Saturday morning. The Warriors controlled the tempo from the start, piling up territory and chances before finally breaking through late in the first half.

The decisive moment arrived at 40:54, when Melissa Del Valle latched onto a clever pass from Olof Sigurðardóttir and buried the match's lone goal. Del Valle had been knocking on the door throughout the opening period—hitting the crossbar in the 29th minute and forcing a save in the 31st—before her persistence paid off just before the break.

After halftime, Webber's back line—anchored by Thea Roque, Grayce Kidwell, Princess Agustin and MaKenzee Feskanin—snuffed out Warner's forays and protected the clean sheet. Goalkeeper Karen Torfadottir handled the rest, recording two first-half saves and managing the area with confidence as the Royals were limited to three total shots.

The Warriors continued to dictate play down the stretch, creating danger from wide areas and set pieces while testing Warner's second-half keeper. While three yellow cards demanded some late composure, Webber saw out the final minutes without allowing a serious look at goal to secure its fourth win of the season.
