Golf Finishes Season at SUN Conference Tournament

Jekyll Island, GA – The Webber International Men's Golf team competed in the SUN Conference Tournament hosted by College of Coastal Georgia. The Warriors played well against the SUN field that included Keiser, St. Thomas, Southeastern, Coastal Georgia, SCAD-Savannah, Ave Maria, and New College of Florida.

 Vedant Sirohi continued to lead the Warriors, finishing in a tie for 3rd place after shooting three under par across three rounds. Sirohi had 12 birdies for the tournament, counteracting seven bogies and one double bogie. He shot a one over 73 in round one, before going back-to-back two under 70's to finish.

Juan Martinez was the second finisher for the Warriors, finishing in 11th place at one over par. Martinez had 10 birdies and an eagle as his scores improved each day. After a two over 74 in round one, he fired back with an even par 72 and then went one under 71 in the third round to secure 11th.

Tristan Greenleaf finished in 22nd place for Webber, shooting six over par. Greenleaf made nine birdies across the three rounds. He went one over par with a 73 in round one, three over 75 in round two, and improved with a two over 74 in the final round.

Ismael Garcia Ramirez finished in 34th place. He was 12 over par for the tournament, shooting nine birdies. He started the tournament with a two over par 74. He went back-to-back five over 77s to end the tournament.

Zico Correia finished last for the Warriors in 40th place with a 14 over par performance. Correia had fice birdies across all three round as he went six over 78, one over 73, and seven over 79 across the three rounds.

Overall the Warriors finished in 5th place in the tournament, finishing ahead of New College, Ave Maria, and SCAD-Savannah.
