Babson Park, FL – The 6th ranked Webber International Baseball team took care of business against the Florida Memorial Lions on Friday and Saturday for Senior Weekend. The Warriors won 3 out of 4 games to send the Seniors at their last series at Brad Niethammer Field out with a bang.

Game 1: WIU Dominates 18-5 WIU opened the series with an offensive showcase, quickly taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning with a three-run homer by S. Nitch. FMU tied the game at 4-4 in the third, but WIU responded powerfully with an explosive eight-run inning highlighted by home runs from J. Smith, J. Martinez, and another from Nitch. FMU attempted a comeback, but WIU maintained control, ultimately winning 17-5. S. Nitch starred with two home runs and five RBIs.

Game 2: WIU Walks Off in Extras, 5-4 FMU took an early 4-0 lead, capitalizing on WIU errors and timely hits. WIU rallied late, scoring three in the sixth and tying the game at four in the seventh with a clutch home run from B. Sanchez. The game extended to extra innings, with WIU securing the walk-off victory in the 10th inning as J. Martinez drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home the decisive run for a thrilling 5-4 win.

Game 3: FMU Holds Off WIU 7-6 FMU established an early lead with powerful hitting, including home runs by R. Rivera and E. Farrell, leading 7-1 by the third inning. WIU chipped away with consistent offense, narrowing the gap to one run by the seventh inning. Despite a two-run rally sparked by hits from J. Martinez and R. Recio, WIU fell just short as FMU managed to hold on, securing a narrow 7-6 victory.

Game 4: WIU Takes Series Finale 12-5 In the final game, WIU's offense exploded early, scoring eight runs in the first inning on nine hits. FMU attempted to respond, highlighted by a two-run homer from C. Marte in the third inning, but WIU kept padding their lead, including a home run by S. Schulz in the second inning. FMU added late runs but couldn't overcome WIU's strong pitching and consistent batting. WIU comfortably took the series finale 11-5.

Series Summary: Webber International took the series three games to one, showcasing powerful offensive performances throughout. Notable contributions came from S. Nitch, J. Martinez, and B.
