Ave Maria, FL – The 6th ranked Webber International Baseball team traveled to Ave Maria University for a SUN Conference Season finale. The Warriors and Gyrenes split the four game set, securing the #2 Seed for Webber in the SUN Conference Tournament in Fort Myers, Florida.

Game 1: WIU Dominates Ave Maria, 8-1 Webber jumped out early, scoring three runs by the second inning, fueled by strong hits from R. Recio and J. Smith. Recio's fifth-inning solo homer further extended WIU's lead. The game was capped off by M. Cuello's powerful three-run home run in the seventh inning, bringing the final score to 8-1. Ave Maria struggled offensively, managing their sole run in the ninth inning.

Game 2: Late Surge Powers WIU Past Ave Maria, 4-3 Ave Maria opened the scoring early, capitalizing on defensive errors by WIU to build a 3-1 lead by the fifth inning. However, WIU rallied dramatically in the sixth inning when B. Morales hit a crucial three-run homer, flipping the game in their favor, 4-3. Solid relief pitching kept Ave Maria scoreless in the late innings to secure WIU's comeback victory.

Game 3: Offensive Showdown Ends with Ave Maria Victory, 17-13 Game three featured an explosive offensive performance from Ave Maria, highlighted by J. Gonzalez's grand slam in a five-run second inning and a three-run homer by K. Magdic in the fifth. WIU battled back with multiple scoring rallies, including a four-run eighth inning, but ultimately fell short as Ave Maria held on for a 17-13 victory in this high-scoring affair.

Game 4: Ave Maria Closes Series with Solid 5-2 Win In the final game, Ave Maria established early control, punctuated by a decisive three-run homer by S. Cabeza in the fifth inning. WIU attempted a late rally, narrowing the gap in the eighth, but Ave Maria's pitching proved resilient, preserving a 5-2 win to split the series.
