Babson Park, FL - Webber International Women's Basketball flipped the script with a dominant second half Monday afternoon, pulling away from Milligan (TN) for a 65-54 win. After a tight first half that saw the visitors cling to a 28-26 edge at the break, the Warriors erupted in the third quarter—outscoring Milligan 22-6—to seize full control and never look back (13-14, 13-14, 22-6, 17-20).
Milligan set the tone early with physical play on the glass and a steady scoring punch from McKenna Myers, who connected on three triples on her way to a game-high 19 points. The Buffaloes stayed in front most of the first two quarters, capitalizing on second-chance opportunities to build small leads, while Webber worked to find rhythm offensively. Even with the slow start, the Warriors stayed within striking distance thanks to efficient looks inside and timely stops that kept the margin to just two at halftime.
Everything changed coming out of the locker room. Webber turned up the defensive pressure and immediately translated it into cleaner offensive possessions, holding Milligan to just six points in the third quarter while ripping off a momentum-swinging run. Jaiden Ross was the catalyst, pouring in 22 points on an ultra-efficient 9-of-11 shooting, repeatedly attacking gaps and finishing through contact. Webber also got a spark from the perimeter as Janaina Goncalves (13 points) and Kori Wimberly (10 points) knocked down threes to stretch the floor during the decisive surge.
Milligan made a push in the fourth—led by Semaj Clark's all-around effort (12 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists)—but Webber answered each time with poised possessions and defensive rebounds. Camryn Patterson stuffed the stat sheet with a monster facilitation-and-rebounding performance (15 rebounds, 10 assists), helping Webber control tempo and generate quality looks late. The Warriors finished with a major efficiency edge, shooting 45.5% from the field and 38.5% from three (5-for-13), while holding Milligan to 31.7% overall and 13.6% from deep (3-for-22).
