Warriors Take Down Bobcats With 4 in Double Figures

Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Men's Basketball team hosted SUN opponent St. Thomas University for a Wednesday night conference matchup. The Warriors got ahead early and were able to maintain a lead for a majority of the game, ultimately prevailing over the Bobcats 84-76.

Webber came out firing, shooting an impressive 53.3% from the field in the opening half. Orlando Thomas set the tone early, attacking the basket and converting 10 of 12 free throws. The Warriors knocked down five three-pointers and built a double-digit lead (13 points) late in the first half. However, St. Thomas stayed within striking distance thanks to Daniel Ogoro's 21 points and Esteban Lluberes' hot shooting (4-6 3PT).

The Bobcats fought back behind strong three-point shooting (38.5%) and efficient free-throw shooting (75%), closing the gap in the final minutes. St. Thomas cut the deficit to three points before Webber responded with a late scoring surge, hitting 16-19 free throws in the second half. Thomas and Zachary O'Callaghan (10 points, 5 rebounds) made key plays down the stretch to seal the victory.
