Kansas City, MO – The NAIA announced its Men's and Women's Lacrosse All-American teams. Honored on the Men's First team were Webber Attacker Chase Jackson and Defender Dane Fasano. Honored on the Women's Third team was Defender Asiah Dewberry.
Jackson had another prolific season on the attack for the Warriors, racking up 38 goals to go along with 58 assists, which put him at 96 points on the season. Jackson also played well when the ball wasn't in his stick, picking up 27 groundballs and causing 17 turnovers. Jackson was a key part in the Warriors success this season, serving as a team captain and guiding Webber back to the NAIA tournament semifinals.
Fasano was the leading defender for the Warriors this season. He racked up 30 ground balls with a long stick in hand, while also causing 28 turnovers. His defensive positioning helped to stop opponent attacks in every game he played this season while also being a vocal leader for the team. Fasano also recorded two points on the season with one goal and one assist. Fasano's defense helped propel the Warriors into the postseason.
Dewberry played an important role in the Warrior defense for the Women's team. She picked up 41 ground balls and caused 36 turnovers on the year. Her presence helped the Warriors win the most games in program history, while also helping secure wins in tight one goal games. Dewberry's impact will help shape the team for years to come.
