Babson Park, FL – The Warriors hosted the #19 St. Thomas Bobcats for game one of the SUNC series. A strong defensive effort kept Webber in the game, but fell to STU 5-0.  

Taylor Thomas got the start in the circle, pitching three innings, and allowing three runs. Chloe Rayner came in for relief in the top of the 6th inning, allowing two more runs. Megan closed the game with a shutout 7th inning. 

Thalia Romero led the team offensively with two base knocks, while Lexi Watkins and Nicole Gutierrez both added hits.  

STU struck first with a run in the top of the first inning. The Warriors responded with a one out bunt from Watkins. Romero followed with a single to left field to put two on. Brandy Barquin sac bunted to move the runners into scoring position, before the Bobcats got out number three. 

STU brought two more across in the top of the second inning. A strong defensive third inning kept the Bobcats from adding runs.  

Watkins took a pitch to the elbow in the bottom of the third inning, but the Warriors were unable to convert.  

A pop up and incredible defensive double play allowed for a successful first inning for Rayner.  

In the bottom of the 5th inning, Kimmie Cheung led off with a walk, but the Warriors only advanced to second base before STU got the third out. 

St. Thomas brought two more runs in the top of the 6th inning, before Rayner got two strike outs and a pop out.  

The Warriors got two on in the bottom of the 7th inning, but the Bobcats got out number three before the Warriors could score. 

Webber will be back in the morning to honor their seniors and finish the series starting at 11 AM.
