Babson Park, FL – A big 9th inning allowed the 5th-ranked Webber International baseball team to take game one over the Warner Royals. Webber posted a 5-4 win over the Royals on Thursday afternoon.
Blayne Huter got the start on the mound for the Warriors, completing 6.0 innings with eight strikeouts, only allowing two runs on one hit. Hunter Youngblood and Thomas Nelson kept the Warriors in the game, before Seth Lovell came in the bottom of the 9th inning to close the door on the Royals. Lovell earned his third win of the season with a 4-3 ground out.
Gabriel Cruz changed the momentum for the Warriors with a late RBI single to give the Warriors the lead. Deven Tedders capitalized on a Warner error to bring in two insurance runs in the top of the 9th inning.

Blayne Huter got to work with a quick 1-2-3 inning to put the Warriors back on offense.
After two scoreless innings, the Royals brought runs across in the bottom of the 4th and 5th innings to take the lead.
The Warriors kept battling as a lead-off single for Tyren Milliner in the top of the 9th inning shifted the pendulum in favor of the Warriors. A sac bunt for Recio moved Milliner into scoring position, before a double from Brodey Neveker evened the score. Joseph Becker took a pitch to the ankle to put two on with one out. Gabriel Cruz singled to right field, bringing in Neveker. A Warner error allowed Deven Tedders aboard as Becker and Cruz scored, making it 5-2.
Seth Lovell came in the top of the 9th inning, getting ahead early with a three-pitch strikeout for his first batter. A hit-by-pitch and a walk set the Royals up for a 2 RBI single, but Lovell was able to work out of the jam with the help of his defense.
Webber will be back tomorrow for two more games, as they look to add to their record. Game one is set to begin at 2, with the second one being right after.
