Warriors Drop to Seahawks

West Palm Beach, FL – The Webber International Women's Lacrosse team traveled to West Palm Beach to take on the Keiser Seahawks Thursday afternoon. The Warriors played tough but were unable to take down the Seahawks, losing 25-7. 

The Warriors found themselves down early, allowing two goals before Bryce Gerber scored, making it 2-1. Webber would give up six unanswered goals as the game headed to the second quarter with Webber down 8-1. 

The Seahawks were able to extend their lead to 10-2 before Gerber scored back-to-back goals for the Warriors. Gerber assisted Natalie Baumgarten for the Warriors' next score before Kaitlyn Patterson scored from the free position. Gerber scored once more for the Warriors with an assist from Patterson, as the Warriors headed into the half down 13-6. 

The Warriors would be shutout in the third quarter as the Seahawks scored six unanswered goals to take a 19-6 lead into the fourth quarter. 

Gerber would score the final goal for the Warriors with another assist from Patterson. Webber would fall to the Seahawks 25-7. 

Gerber led the team with six points off of five goals and one assist. Patterson had three on one goal and two assists, while Baumgarten had one on one goal. Gerber, Reyanna Troupe, Ayame Macedo, and Asiah Dewberry all had two ground balls, while Dewberry led with three caused turnovers. In the goal, Jordyn Davidson had 11 saves while Hannah Register had two.  

The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, April 13th when they host the Ave Maria Gyrenes for Senior Day on the Warrior Turf Field.
