Babson Park, FL - The Webber International Women's Basketball team hosted the Keiser Seahawks in the Sabbagh Center Saturday afternoon. The Warriors battled tough but were unable to contain the Seahawks, falling for the second time this season, 73-49.


Samantha Pacheco scored first for the Warriors after they won the tip. Janaina Goncalves and Jaiden Ross got the next two for Webber, making it an 8-6 game. Pacheco scored once more to head into the second quarter with the Warriors trailing 15-8.

Ross scored next for the Warriors after a brief scoring drought. Kaliyah Little drained a triple soon after making the score 23-13. Alisha Walker got on the board with a layup, before Zeri Tyler hit one of two from the free throw line. Pacheco hit two free throws and another basket to finish the scoring for the Warriors with Webber trailing 30-20.

Pacheco opened up the scoring in the third quarter, scoring the first five for Webber. Jermaisa Klopsis got on the board, scoring next. Klopsis hit two free throws before Little also hit two. Pacheco and Klopsis both scored in the paint before a jump shot by Little made it 49-37 heading into the fourth quarter.

Ross scored first in the fourth, scoring four straight points, before Kori Wimberly hit two from the charity stripe. Klopsis hit a three pointer, before Jasmine Henry sank a free throw. Wimberly hit another layup to end the scoring for the Warriors with the score of 73-49 in favor of the Seahawks. 
Pacheco led the Warriors with 15 points. Klopsis had nine, Ross had eight, and Little had seven. 

The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday February 7th when they travel to Brunswick Georgia to take on the Coastal Georgia Mariners.
