Box Score 2 Babson Park, FL- The 12th-ranked Warriors continued their dominant weekend with wins over (RV) Cumberland University and Warner. Webber took the first game 8-7 over the Phoenix and the second 10-8 over the Royals.
Game One
Brayden Matthews got the start and the win, as he pitched 5.2 innings, only allowing two runs off three hits and two errors. Manuel Meilan came in relief, pitching one inning, before Danny Rodriguez closed it out with no runs earned.Â

Gabriel Cruz led the way at the plate, scoring two runs on two hits. Tyren Milliner went 1-3, was walked twice, and scored two runs. Ian Kalman went 2-4, and also scored a run.
Richard Rodriguez got things going for the Warriors as he reached first base on an error by the pitcher. A walk and wild pitch put runners in scoring position, before a fly out by Ryan Recio sent home the two runners. The Warriors scored another run on an error by the right fielder to make it 3-0.

A three-up-three-down put the Warriors back on offense quickly. A walk, two hit by pitches, and an error set the Warriors up to grab two runs extending the lead to 5.

A scoreless inning was broken by two runs from the Phoenix. The Warriors responded with a stolen base run from Milliner.

In the top of the sixth, a sacrifice fly out allowed for another Milliner score. Richard Rodriguez singles to bring home Cruz, making it 8-2.

The bottom of the seventh saw four runs for the Phoenix to close the gap 8-7. After two scoreless innings, a put out from R. Rodriguez to D. Rodriguez sealed the deal as the Warriors walked away victorious.

Game Two
Â
In game two, Jonathan Bautista got the start and the win, pitching 5.0 innings, only allowing four runs on three hits. Ivan Martinez Suarez came in for relief and pitched 2.1 innings before Gabriel Dorsey closed the game. Dorsey pitched 1.2 innings, grabbed 8 strikeouts, and allowed no hits or runs.
Ryan Recio led the game as he scored three runs in his three at bats. Milliner and Brodey Neveker scored two runs apiece, while Milliner earned two RBIs on the night.

Warner got on the board early with a run in the first inning. The Warriors responded with runs bg Neveker and Milliner.
The Royals scored two more runs in the bottom of the second inning to take the lead back 3-2. An error by Warner allowed Milliner on base and a score for Joseph Becker.
Jarrett May notched a 2 RBI home run on a 1-2 count to grab the lead in the top of the fourth. Recio then stole home in the fifth inning to make it 6-4.
The Warriors scored two runs in the top of the seventh on a walk and an error by the Royals to make it a four run lead. Warner scored four runs to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth inning before a solo home run by Recio gave the Warriors the lead. Back-to-back swinging strikeouts for Dorsey and a ground out to R. Rodriguez closed out the 4-0 weekend for the Warriors.
Webber will be back in action on Friday, February 9th as they are set to take on former Sun Conference for Thomas at 6 PM.
