Weston, FL - The Warriors traveled to take on the Florida National Conquistadors on Thursday afternoon in a double header. Webber took game one 7-2, but the Conquistadors battled back to take the second game 1-0.
 
GAME ONE: WARRIORS BREEZE PAST CONQUISTADORS.
 
Jenna Chaudoin got the win for the Warriors are she pitched all seven innings, totaled six strikeouts, and only allowed two runs to come across the plate. Johnkiria Bland ensured the win with a 3RBI homerun that added four runs to the board. Samantha Proctor and Kylie Bright also batted in runs as the Warriors took the crown 7-2.
 
FNU got on the board first with a sac fly to left field that brought a runner home. The Warriors responded with three runs to take the lead 3-1. After four scoreless innings, Proctor doubled to right center field and brought in another run. Bland followed that up with a bomb that brought in three more runs to extend the Warriors' lead to six. FNU was only able to add one run to the board before Chaudoin ended game one.
 
GAME TWO: FNU WALKS OFF GAME TWO
 
Taylor Thomas got the start in game two against the conquistadors. The reigning SUNC Freshman of the year pitched 6.1 innings and tallied two strike outs to leave the board empty for nearly seven innings. Thalia Romero garnered the lone hit for the Warriors in game two as Bland grabbed a walk in the top of the second inning.
 
The Warriors will be back in action on Sunday, February 25th as they are set to host (RV) Grandview, first pitch is scheduled for 1 PM.
