Babson Park, FL – The Warriors continued their trek through the Sun Conference as they hosted the (RV) Ave Maria Gyrenes. Webber battled through two halves but came up short as the Gyrenes took the win 84-73. With this, the Warriors move to 18-9 on the season, and 6-7 in SUNC play. 

Eden Holt led the team tonight as an offensive force with 18 points, nine assists, and two steals. Jordan Golden manned the defense with nine rebounds and 15 points. Zachary O'Callaghan netted 12 points to go along with his nine rebounds of the evening. Dante Sofia was the final Warrior to notch double-digit points as he added 10 to the board.  

The Warriors got things rolling early in the first half strong with a three-pointer by Jordan Golden. The Gyrenes responded with a layup before Holt built a gap as he scored seven points alongside Golden with two giving the Warriors a lead of 12-2.  

Over the next 10 minutes, the stat line was even as both teams scored 24 points. AMU went on an 11-0 run to take a five-point lead going into the break. 

Cooper Peterson opened the second half with a triple to send the Warriors on an 11-4 run. Golden, Sofia, and O'Callaghan each accounted for four of the next 15 points for the Warriors to cut the Gyrenes lead to four.  

A layup from Holt cut the deficit to five before hit four straight free throws to take the 84-75 win.  

The Warriors will be back on the courts on Saturday, February 24th as they are set to host (RV) ST. Thomas at 4:00 PM.
