Indianapolis, IN – The Webber International men's and women's bowling team competed in their 10th tournament of the season this weekend in the USBC Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic. The Warriors would compete in six individual games on Saturday afternoon, before moving into 15 baker games per squad for the chance to place in the top eight and advance to the single elimination tournament on Sunday afternoon. Both men's and women's teams would claim a top eight finish through team qualifying but would fall in the first round of tournament play to wrap up another successful weekend for both Warriors teams.

The Warriors women's team coming off a first place finish in Atlanta just last weekend was looking to carry that momentum into a competitive tournament against a lot of great squads. Jaqueline Witura who has been the heart and soul of this Warriors team all year long would have another great individual tournament. Witura would finish in 12th place individually on Saturday afternoon with a game two high of 249 and a 216 pin average through six games. Fellow senior bowler Jenna Williams would claim a top 35 finish with a game one high of 278 and would avergae 205 per game in her individual play. Led by their two senior bowlers, the Warriors would sit firmly in sixth place through Saturday afternoon with a combined team total of 5,979 pins through six games.

The Warriors would jump into Sunday's baker games with just a six pin lead over seventh place, but only a few hundred pins behind the leaders with 15 baker games ahead of them to make up ground. Through five baker games, the Warriors would post a game two high of 236, and would hold firmly in their sixth position as the top 10 teams stayed pat in their positions from the previous day. The Warriors would continue onto the next five baker games and slide a bit futher down into the standings in seventh place, but still firmly in the top eight, looking to advance to the single elimination tournament. The Warriors would wrap up their baker games with five final games and finish in seventh place overall with an overall total from individual and baker games of 8,693 pins. The Warriors would enter tournament play matched up against the seconded seeded Wichita State in the elite eight round. The Warriors would manage to take a game from their opponent but would ultimately lose 2-1 in the best two out of three series to finish out their weekend of play.

The Warrior men were in a similar position to their female teammates, coming fresh off a first-place finish in Atlanta and looking to continue their great season. The Warriors would be competing against 78 teams of bowlers in the Hoosier Classic, and AJ Wolstenholme would lead the charge for the Warriors earning a top 30 individual finish on Saturday to help bolster the Warriors into an early top ten position in the standings overall. Wolstenholme would grab a game three high of 242 and average 216 per game through individual play for the Warriors. James Bennett would follow just behind his teammate with a top 35 finish and a game five high of 236. Wolstenholme and Bennett would help keep the Warriors team within arm's reach of the top eight positions going into the baker games, as they would finish in ninth place overall through individual play with a pin total of 6.090.

The Warriors would have a lot of ground to make up in 15 baker games if they wished to make the single elimination tournament on day two, and they would get off to a fast start jumping two positions in the standings after five baker games. The Warriors would post a game three high of 238 to push them into seventh place for the time being. The next five baker games would cause a standstill in the standings as no teams at the top moved positions, but the Warriors would gain some ground on the sixth place Oklahoma Chrisitan, trailing only by 11 pins with five baker games remaining. The Warriors, like all great teams do, would finish strong and jump all the way up to fifth position after all 15 baker games were complete with an overall pin total of 8,895. The Warriors would finish in a tie for fifth place with Marian University, but the Warriors would win the tiebreaker due to a higher pinfall in the baker games on day two. The Warriors would go into bracket play as the five seed matched up against the fourth seeded Trine University. The men would also claim a game like their women's team, but they would fall in the elite eight as well 2-1 to round out the Warriors trip to Indiana.

The Warriors will have a full month of preparation ahead of them to get ready for the ITC Sectional tournament on Friday, March 8th – 10th.
