Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Soccer team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon during halftime of their match with the Ave Maria Gyrenes. The Warriors had a great Senior Day celebration for their six seniors, but would ultimately fall in the match against the Gyrenes 2-0.
The Warriors offense took five shots in the first half looking to rally their offensive against the Gyrenes. The Gyrenes would ultimately jump on the board first, pressing the Warriors defense, and forcing an own goal that gave the Gyrenes the early 1-0 lead. Juliana Grider would have a very busy first half in goal for the Warriors recording seven saves to add to her season tally, but the Warriors would trail 1-0 going into halftime.
The Warriors hosted their final home game of the 2024 season on Saturday afternoon and they celebrated their six seniors during halftime in a senior day celebration. Joined by family and friends, the Warriors celebrated: Angelina Severino, Ella Campbell, Thea Roque, Solimar Hernandez, Brea Kamm, and Hannah Esson. Each senior left their mark on the women's soccer program, and were celebrated as such with friends, family, and teammates with beautiful messages shared from each senior and head coach Jack Paris.
