St. Petersburg, FL - The Webber International women's soccer team traveled to St. Petersburg, FL to take on the Eckerd Tritons. After a defensive battle, the  Tritons took home the crown with a 3-1 victory over the Warriors. 
 
The Warriors defense held out strong by not allowing a goal scored for the first 28 minutes of the contest, before Caroline Bunker netted the first goal for the Tritons. Webber's defense, then held the Tritons scoreless for the rest of the first half. Webber held Eckerd to just three shots on goal in the first half, two of which Cameron Laine saved.
 
In the second half, the Tritons managed six shots on target, four of which Laine disposed of. Eckerd managed to score two goals in the second period, at 47' and 52' respectively. The Warriors responded with a goal off the foot of Leah McDaid, assisted by Ashley Dakis. The final minutes of the game would be a defensive showdown, with each team  collecting a yellow card within the final ten minutes.
