BABSON PARK, Fla.– The Webber International University women's soccer team battled Ave Maria University to a 0-0 draw Wednesday morning in Sun Conference action at Webber Turf Field.

The Warriors generated consistent offensive pressure throughout the match, finishing with a 20-14 advantage in total shots and a 9-7 edge in shots on goal. Despite the offensive opportunities, neither team was able to find the back of the net through 90 minutes of play.

Webber created several scoring chances in the opening half, recording nine shots while continuing to challenge the Ave Maria defense. The Warriors carried that momentum into the second half, adding 11 shots after the break in search of the go-ahead goal.

Goalkeeper Brylee Kamm anchored the Warriors defensively, playing all 90 minutes and recording seven saves to help secure the shutout. The Webber back line worked alongside Kamm to keep the Gyrenes off the scoreboard in a hard-fought conference contest.

Ave Maria goalkeeper Emma Schweitzer also delivered a strong performance, finishing with nine saves to preserve the scoreless result.

The draw moves Webber to 4-9-1 overall and 1-4-1 in Sun Conference play.

The Warriors will return to action Saturday, October 24, traveling to West Palm Beach, Florida, to take on Keiser University in another Sun Conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
