Babson Park, FL – The Webber International University Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Savannah Siegrist as the Head Men's Beach Volleyball Coach. Siegrist brings a host of experiences from her time as a player and a coach to the program.
Siegrist played D1 collegiate beach volleyball at Jacksonville University and the University of Oregon. In her time at Jacksonville, Siegrist was the winningest player with notable wins in the 1s pair against ranked University of South Carolina and the University of North Florida. After red-shirting her sophomore year, Siegrist transferred to Oregon. She was in the starting line-up for all 3 years playing in each pair. During her time, she was the winningest player with 29 wins including wins over ranked University of Arizona and University of Washington. Siegrist graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2021 and her Master of Business Administration in Sports Business in 2022.
Siegrist is ready to lead the Men's Beach program and build off of the success from the past few seasons.
"Everyone keeps on saying to me that 'You're very lucky to come into this program', and that is definitely what I feel," Siegrist said. "I feel so lucky to have this program where the guys are so excited to be out here, they're such committed athletes and all they want to do is grow and be successful this season. All I have to do is help them along and I'm very excited for the opportunity to do so."
Siegrist has been coaching beach volleyball since 2016 for clubs including South River Volleyball Club, Grit Volleyball, Dynamic Volleyball Academy, Oregon Sand Volleyball, and Sandsharks Beach Volleyball. Siegrist was involved in the first years of USAV Beach High Performance including playing for the A2 National and the Chesapeake Region (CHRVA) team and coaching the development team for CHRVA. Siegrist has coached athletes who played collegiate beach at Stanford, Long Beach, Tulane, TAMU-CC, CSUN, HBU, UNA, Coastal Carolina, Stevenson University, and a commitment to FGCU.
Athletic Director Brad Niethammer is ready to see where Siegrist will lead the Men's Beach program.
"We are excited to have Coach Siegrist as our new Head Men's Beach volleyball coach. She has an impressive resume as a player and brings the knowledge and passion for the sport to continue growing our program down a winning path," Niethammer said.
