BABSON PARK, Fla. (April 14, 2023) – The Webber International University baseball team will be honoring its 13 seniors this Saturday, April 15
th, for Senior Day. A ceremony will be held prior to the start of the doubleheader against Florida Memorial at 12 p.m.

The following 13 seniors will be among those honored this weekend.

In three season with the Warriors,
Luis Acevedo has been a staple at the second base position, making 153 starts in 154 games played. He has posted a career .300 batting average and has tallied 163 hits and counting. Acevedo boasts a career .403 on-base percentage and is at .474 for the 2023 season thus far.

Kris Allen transferred from St. Andrews University prior to the 2023 campaign and has contributed in 28 games played so far. Six of his 16 hits have been for extra bases as he has totaled four doubles and two home runs, including 10 RBI's.

Jacob Burr has made 14 appearances over two seasons so far, eight of which have come in the current 2023 season. So far this season, he has a 3.38 ERA and has recorded a win and a save through 21.1 innings pitched as well as a career-high 28 strikeouts.

Another graduating three-year starter is
Angel Diaz. Diaz has started 146 games across three seasons and has had a breakout year in 2023 thus far, setting career-highs in batting average (.377), doubles (11), stolen bases (19), slugging percentage (.565), and on-base percentage (.430). He is set to record career-highs in hits and RBI's as well.

Tommy Diaz has been ever-reliable behind the plate for the Warriors. He has a .308 career batting average over two seasons and 71 games played. Diaz has also tallied 66 career hits and an on-base percentage of .492.
Outfielder
Drake Dobyanski has been a defensive-specialist for Webber over the past two seasons, playing primarily center field. He has recorded a career batting average of .282 and has already set career-highs in runs (45), doubles (9) and triples (3) so far this season. He is also on pace to set career-highs in home runs and RBI's.

Casey Lawson has spent all four years at Webber, making 17 appearances on the mound. The relief pitcher has tallied two saves and 23 strikeouts in 23.1 innings pitched and counting.

Over the course of three seasons at Webber,
Thomas Lopez Jr. has made 56 appearances and posts a 12-4 record. In 92 innings pitched, he has recorded 81 strikeouts and an opposing batting average of .262.

Xavier Rodriguez has amassed 231.2 innings pitched over three years, a 17-8 record and 238 strikeouts. In 2023, he currently posts a 5-1 record through 12 starts and set a career-high in complete-game shutouts with two.

Zachary Schneidmiller is another four-year player for the Warriors, playing in 30 games primarily as a pinch-hitter and pinch-runner. He has scored nine runs, five of which have come this season and two RBI's.

In two seasons,
Paul Sustachek has played in 22 games and started in five. He has tallied four hits and three runs in 23 career at-bats.
Tavion Williams has been the Warriors' go-to pinch-runner for four seasons. He has tallied 83 career runs scored and 44 stolen bases in total. He has four total hits, two of which were for extra-bases.

Dawson Young has spent two seasons with the Warriors as their primary closing pitcher. He has a career 2.45 ERA and a 1.86 ERA so far this season. In 41 appearances and 73.1 innings pitched, Young has tallied 11 saves, 107 strikeouts, and posted an opposing batting average of .181.
