Taylor allowed one run on two hits and recorded two strikeouts in two innings pitched. Thomas Lopez Jr. earned his second victory of the season after tossing three innings in which he tallied four punch-outs before Dawson Young came in to pick up his fifth save of the season, facing three batters and striking out two.

After allowing an early run, the Warriors brought home three runs in the second inning to take the lead, 3-1. The Wolverines (0-7) scored once on a sacrifice fly in the third inning and later tacked on two more in the sixth inning to take the lead back at 4-3. In the bottom half of the sixth, Tyren Milliner scored Bryan Morales on a groundout to tie the game back up before Ian Kalman delivered an RBI-double to left center to retake the lead.
