BABSON PARK, Fla. (February 27, 2023) – The Webber International University baseball team hosted Judson University in a Monday night matchup on Brad Niethammer Field. The Warriors posted 10 runs in a thumping of the visiting Eagles.

Jacob Burr made his second appearance and first start of the season, earning the win as he tossed six innings and allowed no runs on just one hit while tallying five punch-outs.
Hunter Youngblood entered the game to close out the final inning and seal the run-rule victory over the Eagles (0-4 overall).

The Warriors (15-3) opened the scoring in the first inning on an RBI-single by
Luis Acevedo. After some quiet innings by both sides, Webber was able to break the game open in the fifth inning where they added five more runs.

Bryan Morales walked the first run home before
Angel Diaz delivered a single up the middle to score two more.
Tyren Milliner would follow suite with a two-RBI single up the middle, extending the Warriors lead to six. In inning number six, Morales walked home yet another run before A. Diaz delivered a bases-clearing triple to make it a 10-0 ball game.

The Warriors were led by A. Diaz, going 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBI's. He was followed by Morales who went 1-for-1 with two RBI's and Milliner who was 1-for-4 with two RBI's. Acevedo and
Drake Dobyanski both finished 2-for-3 as well. Pinch-runner
Tavion Williams led the team in runs scored with three.

Webber now looks to their next matchup against the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday in a doubleheader at 4 and 7 p.m.
