ST. LEO, Fla. (February 24, 2023) - After opening the season with two Sun Conference sweeps of Florida Memorial and St. Thomas, the Webber International University women's beach volleyball team took on NJCAA Palm Beach State College and NCAA Division-II St. Leo University on Wednesday. The Warriors earned fell to St. Leo, 5-0, before defeating PBSC in a tight 3-2 victory.

There were some pairing changes from the first two matches of the season as both Sikkema and Baxter competed alongside new teammates. Junior
Sydney Sneed made her beach volleyball debut, going 1-1 on the day as a pair with Baxter. The new pairing of Sikkema and Steinert went 1-1 as well while Cancio and Harris improved to 3-1 on the season.
A quick turnaround for the Warriors as they are now in North Carolina where they will first face St. Andrews University at 2 p.m. today followed by a match against Truett-McConnell University tomorrow at 11 a.m.
