Marietta, GA. - The Webber International men and women's bowling team went North this weekend to face off in the Bowlero Southern Classic. Both teams knocked over 9000 pins through two days to earn their third top five finish to continue their impressive start to the 2023 season.

The Warrior men were led by
Brandon Bohn who finished top five individually and made the all-tournament team for the first time this season. The sophomore would knock over a weekend high 257 in game five to help boost his individual total to 1,336 pins.
Charles Bostic also had a solid weekend for the Warriors, finishing in 12
th place individually with a 212-pin average through six games. The sophomore and senior combo helped push the Warriors to a third-place finish on the weekend, totaling 10,388 pins as a team, finishing just behind Pikeville University and SCAD-Savannah.

The Warrior women would knock down 9,450 pins over the weekend of play in Georgia and senior Jaqueline Witura led the way for the Warriors finishing in 12
th place individually with a game three high of 220. Witura finished with a
1,201 pin total and averaged just over 200 per game throughout the weekend. Maria Gonzalez and
Jenna Williams both finished in the top 30 individually, with Gonzalez knocking over 1,131 pins respectively and Williams tallying a pin total of 1,118 to help push the Warrior women to their third top five finish in just as many tournaments to start their 2023 campaign. The Warriors finished just 30 pins behind fourth place McKendree University to earn their first fifth place finish of the year.

The Warriors will return to action this weekend as they travel up to Davenport, Iowa to compete in the Leatherneck Classic on November 11
th –12
th.
