Miami Gardens, FL - After tying #3 St. Thomas for for more than 76 minutes, the Warriors fall to the Bobcats in defensive thriller. Ruben Marquez led the offense by playing all 90 minutes and even grabbed one shot on goal.
The Warriors started with a fast break before an offsides call sent the ball to the Bobcats setting them up for three consecutive shots - none of which were on frame. The Bobcats then grabbed three more shot in the 33rd, 36th and 37th minutes. Marquez took a shot in the 41st minute which was saved by the Bobcats keeper. The first half ended with a blocked shot from St. Thomas.
The second half started slowly for both teams. Emanuel Barajas and Rafael Cagnin picked up yellow cards in the 47th and 50th minutes respectively. The Warriors blocked a shot in the 59th minute before St. Thomas picked up a yellow in the 62nd minute. The Bobcats got multiple shots off with Webber Goalkeeper Ben Parkinson making a save in the 67th minute. The Warriors blocked another Bobcat shot in the 73rd minute before Parkinson made another save on a header in the 75th minute. The Bobcats were able to find the back of the net in the 77th minute. Neither team was able to get a shot off in the ensuing 13 minutes as the Warriors fell 1-0.
The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday, October 18 when they travel to Miami Gardens to face off against the Florida Memorial Lions.
