BABSON PARK, Fla. (September 5, 2022) - The Webber International University women's volleyball team hosted the Eagles of Trinity Baptist College for its home-opener of the 2022 season on Monday evening. The Warriors swept the Eagles 3-0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-9) in route to their seventh-straight victory in a row.

The Warriors (7-4 overall) controlled the match from start to finish and ended the match with an impressive hitting percentage of .391. Webber held the Eagles (0-2 overall) to a hitting percentage of -.278 in comparison.

Webber utilized its depth and rotation as 17 different Warriors got time on the court. Leading the way offensively was Nadia Reid and Hannah McCarty each with five kills. They were followed by Tanasha Cooksey and Delanie Johnson who both ended with four kills. Bailey Sikkema finished with three kills on three attempts, hitting a perfect 1.000 percent. Cooksey also tallied a career-high five service aces while McCarty had four of her own. Dishing out the assists was Ana Clara Araujo with 11 and Paysee Crow with eight.

Reid also led the team in digs with five, followed by Lily Arnold with four. Savannah Wilhite, McCarty and Johnson all finished the match with two total blocks to their credit.

The victory gives the Warriors their seventh victory in-a-row, all of which have been 3-0 sweeps. Webber seems to have found its groove and it will look to carry that momentum throughout the remainder of non-conference action.

The Warriors return to the court on Thursday, September 8th, as they host both Florida National University at 4 p.m. and Florida College at 6 p.m. inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center.
