No. 24 Baseball set to face No. 18 McPherson in NAIA National Championship Opening Round

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (May 15, 2022) - The Webber International University baseball team received an at-large bid to compete in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. The Warriors were placed in the Miami Gardens bracket and will first face No. 18 McPherson College.

The Warriors will compete in the Miami Gardens bracket as the No. 3 seed behind hosts, St. Thomas University, and No. 2-seeded McPherson College. Middle Georgia State rounds out the bracket in the No. 4 spot. It is Webber's fourth overall opening round and national tournament appearance and first under Head Coach Collin Martin.

It is the first time these two teams will match up against each other. Game one will be played on Monday, May 16, at 11 a.m. That game will be followed by a matchup between No. 8 St. Thomas and Middle Georgia State. All games will be played at St. Thomas University on Paul Demie Mainieri Field.
