Thompson would then score on a wild pitch to even the score at 4-4, heading into inning number four. Florida National would retake the lead in the top of the fourth after a two-run blast to right field from Gabryella Hay would make it 6-4.
In the bottom of the fifth, Maggard would hit a leadoff double to right center field followed by another bunt single from Friend who would then steal second base. With no outs and runners on second and third, a sacrifice fly from Thompson would score Maggard and move Friend over to third base. Then an RBI single from Crow would level the score yet again at 6-6. A one out triple to center field from
Witney Bones in the bottom of the sixth would put a runner in scoring position and a sacrifice fly from Maggard would score the run and earn Webber its first lead of the game. With two outs in the top of the seventh, the Conquistadors would load the bases and the Warriors would walk the tying run home. An RBI single in the top of the eighth from Florida National would earn them an 8-7 lead. After a sacrifice bunt to move the runner to third in the bottom half of the inning, the Warriors would be unable to get the run home and Florida National would take the 8-7 victory in game two.
