(February 10, 2022) - The Webber International University women's beach volleyball team opened its 2022 campaign on Wednesday morning as it matched up against Crooked Lake rivals, Warner University. The Warriors earned the 5-0 sweep over the Royals on the Webber Campus Beach Volleyball Courts.

WEBBER 5, WARNER 0:

• Lily Arnold and Cindy Garcia Peñaloza won 21-16, 21-11 in the No. 1 seed.
• Montana-Rae Pelak and Bailey Sikkema won 17-21, 21-15, 15-12 in the No. 2 seed.
• Sara Weisrock and Molly Fusarelli won 17-21, 21-15, 15-12 in the No. 3 seed.
• Jessica Terry and Kiersten Tisdale won 16-21, 21-8, 15-7 in the No. 4 seed.
• Brianda Valdez and Nadia Reid won 21-18, 21-16 in the No. 5 seed.

TEAM RECORDS: It was the season opener for both teams as the Warriors (1-0) earned their first win of the new season and handed the Royals (0-1) their first loss.

NEXT UP: The Warriors now have a week long break before hosting Saint Leo University on Wednesday, February 16th, at 10 a.m. before matching up against Palm Beach Atlantic University at 2 p.m. that same day.
