PIKEVILLE, Ky. (September 28, 2021) – The Webber International University football team traveled to Kentucky for the second time in the 2021 season, this time to take on University of Pikeville this past Saturday, resulting in a 59-0 loss for the Warriors.

The Warriors (0-3 overall) were led offensively by senior running back
Tremon Bright with 125 rushing yards on 24 attempts, good for an average of 5.2 yards per carry.
Kristofer Sippel Jr. finished the game with 18 completions on 34 attempts and 122 yards in the air. Webber had 292 yards of total offense in the end, but was unable to find the endzone.

Defensively, Webber was led by
Jaren Muse with 11 total tackles followed by
Cameron Stephens and
Joseph Burton each with nine and
Trent Peacock with eight.
Chandler Kerr finished the game with 7 total tackles including a sack and a half. The only defensive takeaway for the Warriors would come off a
Jamon Jones interception that would be returned for 48 yards.

Next up, the Warriors host Southeastern University on Saturday, October 2, at 1:30 p.m. for their Mid-South Conference 2021 season opener on the Warrior Turf Field. It will be Fire's conference opener as well as they are currently 2-2 overall.
