ORLANDO, Fla. (April 29, 2021) – After ranking first after the semifinals, the Webber International University cheerleading team finished in third place in the Open All Girls Division at the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) College Nationals.

The Warriors finished the semifinals (Day 1 – Apr. 27) in first place with a raw score of 85.70 before falling to third after the finals (Day 2 – Apr. 28) with a raw score of 82.30. In the end, Webber finished with an event score of 80.0000. In first place was the University of Pikeville (81.9250), followed by Avila University (81.8750) in second and Pearl River Community College (76.7000) in fourth.

Webber's Head Cheerleading Coach Lindsay Corbett said, "We had a great performance in our semifinals (Day 1) with having the highest raw score. We came into finals (Day 2) very clean and strong but had a few mistakes, and we ended up only 1.9 points short and took the third place spot after finals. We are very proud of what we accomplished and how we performed both days. The future of this program is bright and we are just getting started."
